What Are My Requirements As An Owner/Member?
• Support our Co-op by shopping regularly (minimum $70 per month)
That is less than $2.50 a day!!!
• Volunteer to work a minimum of two hours per month or pay our $10 per month non-working fee.
(Work requirement is optional for seniors 65 and older, however if you can please do.)
• Tell others about us.
• Additionally, you should attend at least one monthly board meeting, our annual meeting, a wellness forum, or even become a board member to help increase the success of the co-op.
How Much Does My Owner/Member Certificate Cost?
• A new one year owner/member card at the Co-op is $55. (seniors and full-time students $35)
• Renewal fees for owners/members are $42. (seniors and full-time students $24)
Anyone can join. Owner/Member capital goes directly into the store, meaning that all equipment in our store was purchased by our owners/members. This allows us to make improvements to our store (to serve you better!) without having to raise prices on goods.
Why Should I Join When I Don't Have To Pay To Shop At A Health Food Store?
Actually, you DO pay. Health food & specialty stores generally have a higher mark-up and larger overhead than co-ops.
How Do I Join?
Sign up and pay for your owner/member card then receive a brief and informative orientation, including a tour.
