Who Should Join?
Anyone interested in:
• Fresh nutritious foods
• Foods for special dietary needs
• Saving money on food purchases
• Convenience of a small, friendly store
• A co-op providing most of your food shopping needs and more!
Why Should I Join When I Don't Have To Pay To Shop At A Normal Grocery Store?
Actually, you DO pay. Supermarkets generally have a higher mark-up and larger overhead than co-ops.
How Do I Join?
Sign up and pay for your owner/member certificate then receive a brief and informative orientation, including a tour.
How Much Does My Owner/Member Certificate Cost?
A new one year owner/member certificate at the Co-op is $50. (seniors and full-time students $25). Renewal fees for owners/members are $36 (seniors and full-time students $18) per year. Anyone can join. Owner/Member capital goes directly into the store, meaning that all equipment in our store was purchased by our owners/members. This allows us to make improvements to our store (to serve you better!) without having to raise prices on goods.
What Are My Requirements As An Owner/Member?
• Support our Co-op by shopping regularly (minimum $70 per month)
• Volunteer to work a minimum of two hours per month or pay $10 per month.
(Work requirement is optional for seniors 65 and older, however if you can please do.)
• Tell others about us.
•Additionally, you can attend monthly board meetings or even become a board member to help increase the success of the co-op.
